Scheme of Work Resources for The Woman in Black

Click on the button above to download teaching resources for the novel The Woman in Black, by Susan Hill. This includes resources to teach a sequence of 24 lessons, and they come in two main forms:

  1. A notes sheet for each lesson
  2. Accompanying PowerPoint slides

The notes sheets are there to serve as a focal point for each lesson. They can be shrunk down to A5-size and stuck into books or just printed as an A4 booklet. If you want to go with the booklet option (probably easiest), I’ve compiled all the sheets onto a separate document and copied across the big questions.

I’ve tried to keep the PowerPoint slides as simple and unfussy as possible. Each set contains a Do Now task, a big question, tracking questions and a longer task (usually connected to academic writing). They’re fully editable, so you can add or get rid of anything you want.

All the teaching resources are organised into a sequence of 24 lessons, but you’ll naturally find a timeframe that suits you and your wards.
