Summer Holiday Work for the GCSE English Literature Texts

Click on the button above to download three sets of week-by-week tasks for students to complete over the summer holidays. They cover the GCSE English Literature texts below:

• A Christmas Carol
• An Inspector Calls
• Macbeth

Each weekly task has a hyperlink to some good quality material (e.g. a video or some notes). The idea is for students to engage with the information and then use it to create a series of flashcards for self-testing later down the line.

It’s likely that each set of tasks will take between 30-50 minutes to complete.
