Mock Exam Booklet for Macbeth and AQA Power and Conflict Poetry

The students I teach have mock exams coming-up in mid-November.  When they return after half-term, we’ll spend some time focusing on how to approach the English Literature tasks for Macbeth and AQA Power and Conflict poetry.  That’s where this booklet comes in.

1. Start by making general notes on the focus of each exam task
2. Discuss how to approach them
3. Construct essay plans
4. Complete some writing practice by using and adapting the writing frames
5. Use the sentence stems as and when needed

I’ve included some QR codes on the final page that link to revision websites.

Everything should be easy to adapt and the basic structure should work for any strand of the English Literature curriculum.
