The structure of the notes is fairly straightforward: I’ve chosen six quotations from each poem and provided an analysis. Here are a couple of examples…

In terms of using the guide, students could follow the process below:

1. Read each poem
2. Identify the lines in the notes and highlight them
3. Use them as the basis for further annotation

From that point onwards, there should be more than enough material to produce cue-cards and create plans to past exam tasks (and so on). The document is fully editable.
